Location: Boston, MA | Hybrid with home, office, and site visits around Greater Boston
Salary Range: $120K-$140K | Exempt
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday

Position Overview

The Director of Clinical Services provides strategic clinical leadership and oversees all nursing operations within home care and community-based programs. This role ensures that older adults and individuals with disabilities receive high-quality, person-centered care aligned with all State and Federal regulations. The Director supervises RN Managers and partners closely with organizational leadership to drive a collaborative, interdisciplinary care model across this nonprofit.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in nursing, social work, human services, public administration, gerontology, or related field; 6+ years of human services experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or administrative role
    OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the fields above; 7+ years of human services experience, including 5+ years in leadership
    OR
  • Associate degree in science with 8+ years of experience in nursing within Home Care, Community Health, or similar settings
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts (required)
  • Experience with Aging Services Access Points (ASAPs) preferred, including knowledge of Home Care, Special Programs, Medicare, Medicaid, and community resource systems
  • Proficiency with computer-based recordkeeping systems; SAMS experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, team-building experience, problem-solving ability, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to ongoing industry changes
  • Experience collaborating within diverse, multi-ethnic, and multicultural environments
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in time and priority management
  • Ability to travel within the community to conduct home visits

Essential Functions

  • Lead and optimize nursing operations for home care programs, care transitions, and community-based initiatives
  • Motivate, guide, and supervise RN Managers and staff RNs through coaching, consultation, and scheduled supervision
  • Partner on quality assurance activities, including case reviews and policy training, to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement
  • Ensure adherence to all EOEA, State, and Federal regulations, including timeliness of assessments and community screenings
  • Develop and implement clinical policies, operational procedures, and best practices that enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effective service delivery
  • Collaborate with leadership to coordinate services that support independence, safety, and well-being
  • Establish processes to maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of new and existing programs
  • Participate in recruitment, hiring, training, and onboarding for RNs and program staff
  • Identify RN training needs and partner with HR to build staff capability and performance
  • Represent our client within the community, at statewide meetings, and on professional committees
  • Prepare required reports and participate in departmental and agency-wide meetings
  • Support outreach programs and events as needed
