JOHNLEONARD is helping a collaborative company recruit a talented and dedicated Director of Post-Award Grant Accounting to join their inclusive team. This full-time post-award grant accounting role is based in Boston, MA, with a salary of up to $100K and excellent benefits.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Post-Award Grant Accounting will provide financial and grant management oversight and administration to the post-award grants team and the programmatic staff. This position must accommodate tight deadlines, and many post-award activities, including compliance, management, training, LOC draws, payroll certifications, and financial reporting and projections.
In your first few weeks in this Director of Post-Award Grant Accounting role, you can expect to:
- Oversee post-award accounting activities, including billing, sub-recipient monitoring, cost transfers, expenditure approvals, timesheet adjustments, payroll certifications, compliance, and financial reporting
- Supervise the Uniform Guidance Audit, including interaction with auditors, coordinating audit requests from bureaus and administrators, uploading requested documents to the audit firm’s portal, and preparing the year-end Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards
- Build collaborative working relationships with, and provide outstanding customer support to the Commission’s bureau
- Manage the completion and submission of federal LOC, PMS, FFR/FSR, and federal cash transaction reports
To succeed in this post-award grant accounting job, you must have previous experience in a similar role. You also must be detail-oriented, well-organized, and possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. It is also essential that you have a passion for implementing positive change.
