Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000 | Non-Exempt | Bonus Eligible
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday | 9-5

Job Overview

Our client, a highly regarded firm in the legal industry, is seeking an experienced Family Law Legal Administrative Assistant to support a busy Family Law practice. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3–5+ years of Family Law administrative experience (required)
  • In-depth knowledge of the Massachusetts Rules of Domestic Relations Procedure (required)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and anticipate attorney needs
  • Proactive and resourceful with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Experience with ProLaw or similar legal billing software preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys in the Family Law department
  • Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff through phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Manage heavy email traffic, scheduling, and attorney calendars
  • Draft and edit legal correspondence, pleadings, and motions
  • Prepare and process time entries, billing, and expense reports
  • Organize and maintain case files, court documents, and confidential materials
  • Coordinate with a junior administrative assistant on shared responsibilities
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and manage client files efficiently
  • Assist with basic paralegal duties such as drafting simple motions or divorce complaints
