As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you will perform a variety of duties for assigned attorneys in the Litigation Department. You will be responsible for managing and processing the e-billing of assigned attorneys, in addition to court filing and docketing.

In your first few weeks in this Legal Administrative Assistant role, you can expect to:

  • Transcribe and draft correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents, including machine transcription and shorthand transcription
  • Open new case files, including Case Memo sent to included parties, conduct conflict of interest checks and maintain files
  • Establish and maintain calendar and deadline reminder systems of case deadlines and meeting and appearance schedules
  • Use working knowledge of the court systems, complete filings, e-filing, docketing, etc.

  • 2+ years of litigation experience
  • Experience with billing preferred
