About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Operations Specialist to support their Trust Operations team. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to grow within financial operations, investment services, and client account management.
You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of cash transactions, asset transfers, and client data management, all within a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
- 1–2 years of trust operations or wealth management experience (internships considered)
- Strong understanding of financial transactions and account operations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach
- High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate client account data within custodial accounting systems
- Manage client portal setup, account updates, and investment details
- Ensure data integrity across systems and documentation
- Process cash transactions, including wires, ACH payments, checks, and transfers
- Review and validate requests for accuracy, coding, and compliance
- Manage assigned request queues and ensure timely processing
- Perform daily cash reconciliations and resolve discrepancies within defined timelines
- Monitor exception reports and proactively identify issues
- Maintain client payment schedules and track transactions
- Process and monitor ACAT and DTC transfers
- Coordinate with custodians and counterparties to ensure timely settlements
- Validate transfer documentation and track progress
- Communicate updates to stakeholders and escalate issues as needed
