Salary Range: $155,000 – $165,000 | Exempt | Bonus Eligible
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday | 9-5

Our client, a leader in the legal and professional services industry, is seeking a Senior Collections Manager to lead and enhance its accounts receivable and collections operations. This role plays a vital part in improving cash flow, optimizing collection strategies, and maintaining strong, professional client relationships. Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7+ years of collections experience, including 3+ years in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Proficient in financial systems like Elite, Aderant, and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Skilled in collections digitization and financial technology tools
  • Strong leadership, team management, and client service orientation
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and ability to communicate effectively
  • Discreet in handling confidential client information
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively
  • Adaptable, fast learner, and able to build cross-functional relationships in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the transformation of collections operations, applying industry best practices to streamline performance.
  • Develop and implement firm-wide collections strategies and policies aligned with financial goals.
  • Monitor and analyze accounts receivable metrics to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with attorneys, finance teams, and clients to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Set and track monthly collection targets, proactively managing any shortfalls.
  • Oversee a high-performing collections team, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines related to collections and client communications.
  • Support month-end close and assist with year-end audits as needed.
  • Champion continuous process improvement and lead initiatives to digitize and optimize workflows.
