Location: Boston, MA | Hybrid – 2 remote days/week
Salary Range: $100K-$130K | Bonus Eligible
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday, 9-5

About the Role

Our client, an award-winning Best Place to Work committed to diversity and inclusion, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and filing fiduciary, charitable, partnership, and personal tax returns, with an emphasis on complex cases. This role also supports the Director of Tax Services, mentors junior staff, and collaborates with clients to deliver expert tax guidance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Taxation preferred
  • 7+ years of experience preparing fiduciary, charitable, partnership, and personal tax returns
  • Proven ability to handle complex tax matters independently
  • Prior experience in a mid-size or larger professional services environment
  • Proficiency with ProSystem-fx and Onesource Trust Tax software
  • Advanced knowledge of tax codes and recent tax law changes
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact diplomatically and confidentially
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare fiduciary, gift tax, foundation, partnership, and personal tax returns, including complex returns
  • Analyze and resolve tax issues with accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborate with the Director of Tax Services and provide backup coverage as needed
  • Act as a resource for junior tax accountants and review their work
  • Provide expert tax advice to clients, colleagues, and firm partners
  • Communicate directly with clients as authorized
  • Participate in new hire interviews and team development initiatives
  • Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
