Salary Range: $150-$175K | Bonus Eligible

Job Overview

Our client, a leading firm in the wealth management and estate planning industry, is seeking a highly skilled Trust Advisor to serve multi-generational families with complex financial needs. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, professional polish, and client relationship management skills to deliver exceptional service. You would find comparable roles at a multi-family office, corporate trustee, or private wealth management firm.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Law (or related field) required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience working with high-net-worth clients in trust administration, estate planning, or wealth management.
  • Strong understanding of trust and estate taxation, investment management, and partnership accounting.
  • Proven project management skills with experience managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Professional demeanor suitable for a client-facing environment, with strong presentation and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to achieving results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite; ability to quickly learn new financial applications.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of trust law, estate planning trends, and wealth management best practices.
  • Demonstrates adaptability, sound judgment, and innovative thinking in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage trusts, IRAs, foundations, and investment management accounts in alignment with governing documents and fiduciary standards.
  • Partner with Trustees to make sound administrative and financial decisions that align with client goals.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for multiple generations of high-net-worth families through meetings, calls, and email correspondence.
  • Support the Wealth Management team on complex financial, personal, and estate planning matters.
  • Monitor cash flow, prepare budgets, and analyze financial performance for client accounts.
  • Coordinate account activity including receipts, disbursements, account openings/closures, and philanthropic giving.
  • Manage relationships with external advisors, tax professionals, and legal consultants to ensure seamless service.
  • Oversee asset custody and maintain accurate recordkeeping across internal and external financial institutions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments—Investments, Tax, Operations, and Legal—to ensure compliance with fiduciary standards.
  • Maintain a commitment to confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive client information.
