Job Overview
A local banking institution is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Mortgage Closing Coordinator to support its lending operations team. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in mortgage loan processing, closing coordination, and compliance management.
Key Qualifications
- 3+ years of lending experience with at least 1+ year in mortgage loan closing
- Strong knowledge of mortgage operations, loan documentation, and closing procedures
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to collaborate across stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Responsibilities
- Perform quality control on loan files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and satisfaction of closing conditions
- Monitor loan pipelines and schedule closings based on rate lock and commitment deadlines
- Coordinate with closing attorneys, lenders, and internal teams to facilitate smooth closings
- Review and prepare mortgage closing documents and legal paperwork
- Calculate and process loan disbursements, including wires and deposits
- Track and review post-closing documentation for completeness and compliance
- Maintain and generate operational and management reports
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and banking regulations
- Support audit readiness and maintain compliance with internal policies
- Assist with loan processing functions as needed
