Job Overview

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Corporate Knowledge Management & Innovation Attorney to drive strategic initiatives at the intersection of legal technology, data, and knowledge management.

This is a high-impact role for a forward-thinking legal professional ready to transform how corporate legal knowledge, workflows, and innovation strategies are developed, scaled, and leveraged.

Required Qualifications

  • J.D. required
  • 5+ years of corporate transactional experience (e.g., M&A, private equity, venture capital, securities)
  • 3+ years of experience in knowledge management, legal innovation, or practice support
  • Experience within a law firm or professional services environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve knowledge management systems, including precedents, templates, and legal resources
  • Establish governance processes for content creation, maintenance, and optimization
  • Partner with attorneys to ensure materials reflect current market standards and best practices
  • Enhance accessibility and usability of knowledge assets across platforms (e.g., iManage, KM tools, intranet systems)
  • Improve capture and utilization of legal experience data and deal intelligence
  • Develop taxonomy, metadata, and data standards to support reporting and AI applications
  • Leverage structured data for benchmarking, client insights, and decision-making
  • Evaluate and implement legal tech solutions, including AI-powered tools and document automation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize the adoption of systems such as Copilot, Kira, Foundation, and Closing Folders
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and increase operational efficiency
  • Drive adoption of knowledge management tools and resources through training and engagement initiatives
  • Deliver workshops, playbooks, and practical training sessions for attorneys
  • Partner with internal teams to align KM initiatives with professional development programs
  • Standardize transaction workflows, templates, and drafting processes
  • Enhance consistency, efficiency, and collaboration across legal teams
  • Support continuous improvement of legal operations and service delivery
  • Act as a strategic connector across Legal, IT, Innovation, and Business Development
  • Lead knowledge management and innovation projects from concept through execution
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives related to AI adoption, data strategy, and digital transformation
