About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking two Temporary Software Test Engineers with hands-on experience using Linux and Python to support a long-term testing initiative. This role is ideal for technically curious professionals who thrive in lab-based environments, enjoy structured testing, and value precise documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Software Test Engineer, QA Engineer, or similar technical role
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces
- Proficiency running and interpreting Python scripts
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Comfort working on-site in a hands-on, equipment-focused environment
- Ability to collaborate closely with engineering and technical teams
Key Job Functions
- Execute Python scripts and Linux commands using terminal-based applications
- Perform software and firmware testing on equipment under test
- Accurately record pass/fail test results and maintain detailed documentation
- Support testing activities in both laboratory environments and onboard trains
- Assist with troubleshooting software and firmware issues under the guidance of the software engineering team
- Follow established testing protocols, safety standards, and quality procedures
