About the Opportunity
A respected legal services organization is seeking a reliable and hands-on Temporary Operations Assistant to provide critical facilities support, office services, mailroom operations, and administrative assistance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in facilities support, office services, operations, mailroom, workplace services, or administrative support preferred
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
- Dependable, professional, and responsive with a strong attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move boxes, office supplies, furniture, and equipment weighing up to 55 pounds
- Ability to perform the physical duties associated with facilities and workplace support activities
Key Functions
- Provide day-to-day facilities support to ensure a clean, safe, and functional office environment
- Respond to and coordinate resolution of building maintenance, housekeeping, HVAC, and restroom-related issues
- Assist with office inspections and identify opportunities to improve workplace functionality
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, shipping, package handling, and records retrieval
- Manage office supply distribution and inventory
- Support office logistics and workplace organization initiatives
- Set up conference rooms and meeting spaces
- Assist with coffee, tea, and hospitality services for meetings and events
- Support furniture, equipment, and office relocations as needed
- Assist with security-related matters and emergency response procedures
- Collaborate with Operations, IT, and administrative teams to address facility and equipment needs
- Provide backup front desk reception coverage when required
- Deliver excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors
