Hourly Pay Range: $35-$40 
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday | ~2-3 months
Required: 5+ years of trust administration experience

About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected private fiduciary services firm, is seeking an experienced Temporary Trust Officer to provide critical support during a staffing transition. This role is ideal for an experienced Trust Officer, Fiduciary Officer, or Trust Relationship Manager who can step into an active portfolio of trust relationships with minimal ramp-up time.  

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing fiduciary role within a trust company, financial institution, family office, registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or trust and estate law firm
  • Strong knowledge of trust administration, fiduciary responsibilities, and beneficiary relationship management
  • Experience interpreting trust documents, including personal, charitable, and employee benefit trusts
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to make sound fiduciary decisions
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and client relationship skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings

Key Job Functions

  • Manage assigned trust and agency relationships
  • Serve as the primary contact for beneficiaries, grantors, co-trustees, trust protectors, and professional advisors
  • Build strong relationships while understanding each family’s unique trust objectives
  • Participate in beneficiary, family, advisor, and prospective client meetings
  • Evaluate discretionary trust requests and make sound fiduciary recommendations
  • Document fiduciary decisions and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with Trust Executives on trust strategy and beneficiary matters
  • Coordinate with internal staff to ensure timely administration of trustee responsibilities
  • Facilitate onboarding and transitions for new trust relationships
  • Identify and resolve relationship or fiduciary concerns while escalating complex issues as appropriate
  • Ensure compliance with applicable trust laws and fiduciary standards
  • Partner with investment advisors and beneficiaries to review investment objectives consistent with trust documents
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned trust and custody account administration
  • Conduct introductory consultations with prospective clients
  • Deliver responsive, high-quality service that strengthens long-term client relationships
