Salary Range: $120K-$185K | Bonus eligible
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday | Exempt
Required: Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience working with high-net-worth clients

About the Opportunity

A top Boston law firm is seeking an experienced Trust Advisor to join its wealth management team. This role works closely with high-net-worth and multi-generational families, providing sophisticated trust administration, wealth management, financial planning, and estate planning support.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, legal studies, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience working with high-net-worth clients
  • Strong knowledge of trust administration, estate planning, investments, income taxes, partnership structures, and estate and gift taxes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
  • Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and serve as a liaison on complex client matters
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills, with the ability to quickly learn new technology and applications
  • Professional communication style and presentation appropriate for a client-facing environment
  • Proactive approach, innovative thinking, adaptability, and sound judgment

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Assist trustees with trust administration and ensure accounts are managed according to governing documents and applicable requirements
  • Develop trusted relationships through frequent direct contact with high-net-worth clients and multiple generations of family members
  • Partner with Wealth Management professionals and clients on financial planning, estate planning, investment, and personal financial matters
  • Monitor cash flow, conduct budget analysis, and support general financial planning decisions
  • Coordinate account activity, including receipts and disbursements, beneficiary needs, account openings and closings, funding, and charitable and non-charitable gifts
  • Oversee asset custody across internal and external financial institutions and coordinate with outside advisors and family consultants
  • Monitor account cash levels to ensure client needs are met effectively and efficiently
  • Coordinate with investment, tax, operations, and legal teams to ensure accurate and timely account administration
  • Prepare specialized reports, spreadsheets, and other client-related materials as needed
  • Lead and contribute to complex projects while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
