Salary Range: $150K-$170K | Bonus eligible

About the Opportunity
A leading law firm is seeking a strategic and analytical Business Intelligence Manager to build and lead its business intelligence function. This role will play a critical part in transforming competitive intelligence, market research, business analytics, and performance data into actionable insights that support business growth and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, competitive intelligence, business analytics, market intelligence, or a related field
- Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data, research, and market intelligence into strategic recommendations
- Experience developing reporting frameworks, KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics
- Experience designing and building Power BI dashboards or using similar data visualization and business intelligence tools
- Strong understanding of data structures, data visualization, reporting, analytics, and metric design
- Demonstrated team management or people leadership experience, with the ability to set priorities, coach team members, and build a high-performing function
- Strong executive communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Experience incorporating AI tools, AI workflows, and automation into research, analytics, or reporting processes preferred
Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead business intelligence, competitive intelligence, market analysis, and benchmarking initiatives that support business growth and strategic decision-making
- Translate market, client, competitive, and performance data into actionable insights and recommendations for Business Development and firm leadership
- Develop standardized intelligence frameworks, KPIs, reporting processes, and AI-enabled workflows to improve consistency and scalability
- Develop business intelligence dashboards, reporting tools, and performance metrics in partnership with MBD Technology, using Power BI or similar platforms
- Analyze trends across data sources to identify opportunities, measure business development performance, and support strategic initiatives
- Establish clear reporting standards and metric definitions to ensure consistent, meaningful insights
- Lead the implementation and adoption of new business intelligence processes, reporting standards, and governance frameworks
- Manage and develop the Business Intelligence Analyst, setting priorities and performance expectations while fostering accountability and continuous improvement
- Partner with Business Development, Marketing, Research Services, and firm leadership to ensure intelligence efforts align with organizational priorities
