About the Opportunity
A boutique estate law firm is seeking an experienced Estate Administrator to join its collaborative team supporting high-net-worth clients. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 5+ years of estate or probate administration experience and strong knowledge of Wills, Trusts, probate, and estate tax administration.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Estate Administration or Probate Administration experience.
- Strong experience with Wills and Trusts.
- Familiarity with the Massachusetts Uniform Probate Code (MUPC).
- Experience supporting Form 706 / Estate Tax Return preparation preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, proofreading, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Job Functions
- Manage estate and probate administration matters under the direction of attorneys and the Senior Estate Administrator.
- Read and interpret Wills and Trusts and prepare probate court filings and legal notices.
- Communicate with clients, families, attorneys, and court personnel.
- Gather and organize information for Estate Tax Return (Form 706) preparation, including estate assets, valuations, and deductions.
- Assist with estate tax documentation, bill payment, and asset collection.
- Prepare Estate and Trust Accounts, receipts and releases, trustee appointment documents, and other estate-related documents.
- Support the estate distribution process and delivery of assets to beneficiaries.
- Maintain accurate, confidential client and estate records.
