About the Role
Our client, a leading family law practice, is seeking a skilled and organized Family Law Paralegal to join their growing legal team. This position is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced law firm environment and enjoys working closely with attorneys and clients. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting complex family law cases, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and outstanding client service.
This is a highly visible position with direct client interaction, so strong communication skills and empathy are essential. You will be a critical team member handling everything from drafting and reviewing documents to assisting attorneys with trial preparation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven ability to draft complex financial documents and legal pleadings.
- Knowledge of e-filing systems and trial preparation processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to remain empathetic in sensitive client situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft detailed and complex financial statements, complaints, discovery requests and responses, and subpoenas.
- Support motion practice, including e-filing, trial preparation, and case management.
- Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, providing empathetic and professional support.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all legal documentation.
