Job Overview
Our client, a premier medical malpractice law firm, is seeking a driven and highly analytical Associate Attorney to join its expanding litigation team. This role is ideal for an early-career attorney who is research-oriented, confident in their legal reasoning, and motivated to grow alongside experienced trial attorneys in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission
- 2–4 years of legal experience, preferably in medical malpractice or litigation
- Exceptional legal writing, research, and organizational skills
- Judicial clerkship or internship experience strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior trial attorneys on motions, oppositions, and complex legal memoranda in state and federal court
- Draft, revise, and refine appellate briefs, summary judgment filings, and Daubert/Lanigan challenges
- Conduct in-depth legal research to support case strategy and litigation planning
- Assist with preparation of trial exhibits, jury instructions, and pre-trial and post-trial motions
- Argue motions in state and federal court as experience and case needs allow
- Support all phases of medical malpractice litigation, from discovery through trial
