About the Opportunity
An extremely reputable and respected law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Attorney to support a growing volume of commercial real estate activity. This newly created opportunity offers the chance to join a collaborative team of more than 30 attorneys while building and expanding an existing client portfolio. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical legal experience with a business-development mindset and the ability to manage sophisticated commercial real estate matters from inception through closing.
Key Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- 3–5+ years of relevant Commercial Real Estate Attorney experience within a law firm or in-house legal department
- Active membership in the Massachusetts Bar
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Experience handling commercial leases, acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions
- Existing book of business strongly preferred
- Ability to balance incoming partner-driven work with independent client development efforts
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing transactions from inception through closing
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, and related transaction documents
- Handle real estate financing matters, including loan documentation for lenders and borrowers
- Conduct and analyze due diligence materials, including title, survey, zoning, and land use matters
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal counsel to clients
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships while contributing to business development initiatives
