About the Opportunity
An international law firm is hiring a Lateral Integration Manager to lead the seamless onboarding and strategic integration of lateral partners and select senior lawyers joining the firm from private practice, industry, academia, and government.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8+ years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Experience with business development, lateral recruiting, attorney development, or related functions
- Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders with sound professional judgment
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Foundation and InterAction experience preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Adaptability to new technologies, including generative AI tools
Key Responsibilities
- Lead lateral attorney integration from pre-arrival through the first 18 months
- Develop and manage customized integration plans focused on business development and practice growth
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Clients & Markets, Finance, HR, Information Services, and Practice Management
- Build relationships with lateral attorneys and advise on business development strategies, firm resources, and client transitions
- Coordinate introductions, office visits, and internal collaboration opportunities
- Track integration progress, action items, and key success metrics
- Identify challenges, anticipate next steps, and keep integration efforts moving forward
- Support special lateral integration and business development projects as needed
