A respected bankruptcy and litigation law firm recognized nationally for excellence in complex legal matters is seeking a skilled Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment. Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of litigation legal assistant or legal administrative assistant experience.
- Experience with ECF filing and electronic court filing systems required.
- Bankruptcy law experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of court rules, legal procedures, and litigation protocols.
- Understanding of day-to-day operations within a legal office environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms.
- Experience using case management software.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal teams throughout all phases of litigation
- Manage communications with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and other stakeholders
- Assist with trial preparation and attend proceedings as needed
- Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and court filings
- Draft and organize case briefs and summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimony
- Conduct factual, documentary, and legal research to support case development
- Gather, organize, and maintain case-related information and records
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and monitor critical deadlines
- Maintain client and contact databases
- Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently
