About the Opportunity
Our client, a prestigious Boston-based law firm, is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant with 3–5+ years of experience supporting a Trusts and Estates and Tax Law practice. This role supports a small team of attorneys and paralegals and requires a proactive professional with excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in an upbeat, team-oriented, and client-focused environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant in a law firm
- Prior experience in Trusts & Estates and/or Tax Law practice strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with legal billing/timekeeping software; PerfectLaw experience a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
- Ability to adapt and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
Key Responsibilities
- Produce, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports
- Manage attorneys’ and/or paralegals’ time entries and billing processes
- Prepare and deliver monthly client invoices via mail or email
- Organize and maintain client files (digital and paper)
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendars
- Serve as a witness and/or Notary Public during document signings
- Provide support with overflow assignments and other administrative tasks as needed
