Salary Range: $146K-$200K based on location and experience
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday | 9-5

Job Overview

Our client, a leading international law firm, provides comprehensive legal services to clients across technology, government, and business sectors. The Manager of Pitches and Pursuits plays a key role in driving the firm’s business development and proposal strategy. This individual will oversee the proposal process, manage RFPs and client pitches, and ensure the delivery of professional, persuasive, and timely submissions that reflect the firm’s capabilities and value.

As a strategic leader and subject matter expert, this role partners with lawyers, business development professionals, and firm leadership to craft compelling client-facing materials that enhance the firm’s market position.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (Master’s, JD) preferred
    8+ years of business development, proposal management, or marketing experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and client-centric narratives
  • Proven project management expertise, able to lead multiple complex initiatives under tight deadlines
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with sound professional judgment
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Collaborative and adaptable, able to work effectively with colleagues across all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in software such as Foundation, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience management tools (e.g., PERSUIT, Ariba, Scout)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and leverage technology and knowledge management systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the firm’s RFP and pitch process, including planning, content development, production, and delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and verify proposal content
  • Develop, organize, and maintain a repository of standardized and tailored proposal content to ensure consistent messaging and efficiency
  • Oversee and enhance the firm’s content management and experience databases to support business development initiatives
  • Ensure brand and editorial consistency across all materials by working closely with the Client Development Content Strategy team
  • Create compelling, client-focused copy that highlights the firm’s experience, differentiators, and value proposition
  • Coach and mentor business development team members, providing guidance on proposal writing, strategy, and best practices
  • Develop and facilitate training workshops to share proposal and RFP best practices across the firm
  • Analyze and report on proposal success metrics, implement process improvements, and leverage feedback for continuous enhancement
  • Drive innovation by identifying new tools, technology, and processes to strengthen the firm’s competitive positioning
