Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of experience in intellectual property litigation, specifically in ITC litigation and patent law
- Proven ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven work in a fast-paced legal environment
- Knowledge of USPTO and ITC litigation practices
- Expertise using litigation technology tools such as DeskSite, Relativity, West Case Notebook, and TrialDirector
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality work
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential matters
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); ability to learn new tools quickly
- Flexibility to work overtime and travel when needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex IP litigation case management in ITC and federal district court settings
- Manage paper and electronic discovery, including the use of advanced litigation support software
- Prepare for and attend trials, Markman hearings, depositions, and client meetings
- Draft, format, and file legal documents, including briefs and discovery materials
- Conduct legal research, manage timelines, summarize findings, and maintain detailed reports
- Coordinate logistics for depositions, war rooms, and trial exhibits
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, witnesses, vendors, and experts
- Stay current with changes in ITC, USPTO, federal, and state court rules and procedures
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior paralegals
- Support post-trial matters and ongoing litigation needs
