About the Role
A respected banking and mortgage lending organization is seeking an experienced Senior Loan Processor. This role is ideal for a highly organized mortgage professional with strong knowledge of loan processing, underwriting documentation, and investor guidelines.

Key Qualifications
- 3+ years of mortgage loan processing experience
- Strong knowledge of loan processing policies and procedures
- Experience with conventional loans and investor guidelines
- Ability to register as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) under the S.A.F.E. Act
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Encompass mortgage software preferred
Responsibilities
- Process residential mortgage loans and consumer loans from application through closing
- Compile, verify, and organize borrower documentation, including VOE, VOD, credit reports, income documentation, and appraisals
- Review and analyze borrower financials, credit profiles, and property evaluations
- Ensure compliance with investor guidelines, conventional loan standards, and regulatory requirements
- Order and review title work, identify deficiencies (liens, encroachments, etc.), and coordinate resolutions
- Prepare commitment letters, adverse action notices, and maintain accurate pipeline reports
- Serve as liaison between borrowers, Residential Loan Officers, underwriters, attorneys, and brokers
- Monitor files for Quality Control audits and ensure documentation accuracy prior to closing
- Coordinate and schedule closings with all relevant parties
- Maintain compliance with federal and state lending laws, including the S.A.F.E. Act
- Assist in maintaining efficient workflow across underwriting, processing, and closing functions
