A prestigious international law firm is seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Senior Research Analyst to provide advanced legal research, business intelligence, and AI-powered research support to attorneys and business professionals across multiple practice areas.
This role is ideal for an experienced research professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is passionate about leveraging AI research tools, legal analytics, and innovative research strategies to drive impactful results.
Qualifications & Skills
- MLIS, MLS, J.D., or equivalent required
- 5+ years of professional research analyst experience, including legal research
- Experience within a law firm, legal services, or professional services environment is strongly preferred
- Advanced knowledge of legal databases, business intelligence tools, and AI research platforms
- Strong analytical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience mentoring or training colleagues preferred
- Availability for occasional on-call weekend rotations (2–3 times annually)
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level legal research, competitive intelligence, and business research support to attorneys and senior stakeholders
- Conduct complex research across litigation, regulatory, corporate, and industry matters
- Serve as a subject matter expert in AI-powered legal research tools and generative AI platforms
- Guide attorneys and colleagues on responsible and effective AI-assisted research workflows
- Mentor and train research staff on advanced research methodologies and emerging technologies
- Monitor legal, regulatory, and industry developments and contribute to internal alerts and publications
- Support research strategy, process improvement initiatives, and evaluation of emerging research technologies
- Maintain exceptional client service through strong communication, collaboration, and responsiveness
