Our client, a respected mid-sized law firm in the legal industry, is seeking a Senior Trusts & Estates Associate to join its highly regarded Trusts and Estates practice. Recognized as one of the largest and most distinguished practices in Massachusetts, this team provides comprehensive estate planning and wealth transfer solutions for high-net-worth individuals, families, and professional advisors.
Qualifications & Skills
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active Massachusetts Bar membership.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in estate planning, trusts and estates administration, and estate/gift tax planning.
- Strong drafting and review skills for sophisticated planning and financial documents.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and client-oriented professional with proven ability to manage complex matters.
- Prior experience at a regional, national, or well-regarded local law firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and manage complex estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and succession planning instruments.
- Advise clients on asset protection, wealth preservation, and business succession planning.
- Guide clients through strategies to minimize income, gift, and estate taxes.
- Establish and administer trusts, LLCs, partnerships, and charitable giving vehicles.
- Handle all aspects of estate administration, including Massachusetts and federal taxable estates.
- Collaborate with a supportive team of attorneys and paralegals in a client-focused, collegial environment.
