An established legal practice is seeking a Temporary Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal assistant or legal administrative professional.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant, Legal Assistant, or Legal Administrative Assistant
- Experience with e-filing, calendar management, and legal document preparation
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Key Job Functions
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and court filings while managing multiple deadlines
- Coordinate electronic filing (e-filing) and maintain accurate case records
- Manage attorney calendars, court dates, meetings, travel arrangements, and expense reports
- Maintain electronic and paper client files in accordance with firm policies
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, email, faxes, and courier deliveries
- Assist with new client and matter intake, meeting coordination, and conference room scheduling
- Draft routine legal correspondence and client letters
- Communicate professionally with attorneys, staff, and clients
