The Test Engineer will plan, develop, and execute product qualification and acceptance testing for electronic products, components, and systems. This role will work across test engineering, electronics, hardware and software integration, manufacturing, and quality assurance to identify issues, improve processes, and ensure products meet technical and industry standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or 5–7 years of relevant experience and/or training; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Experience with electronics testing, test engineering, product qualification, or hardware troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of Ohm’s Law and Boolean logic
- Knowledge of probability, statistics, ratios, percentages, and other mathematical concepts used in engineering and testing
- Ability to analyze technical information, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document test results and present technical information
- Valid driver’s license required for occasional local travel, typically within approximately 1.5 hours of the facility
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, engineering documentation, professional publications, and applicable regulations
- This position involves information subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must meet the applicable U.S. person requirements under ITAR, including U.S. citizenship, permanent resident status, or qualifying protected status
Key Job Responsibilities
- Design and execute automated, manual, environmental, and product qualification tests for electronic products, components, and systems
- Develop test plans and procedures for PCBs, wire harnesses, hybrid systems, mixed-signal systems, and RF testing
- Troubleshoot hardware and software integration issues, determine root causes, and recommend design improvements
- Interpret schematics, datasheets, technical documentation, simulations, and test measurements to evaluate product performance
- Create, maintain, and improve test fixtures, automated test equipment (ATE), and testing systems
- Analyze and report test data, identifying opportunities to improve product quality, manufacturing processes, and reliability
- Partner with engineering, production, assembly, and quality teams to resolve out-of-specification issues and support continuous improvement
- Provide technical feedback and guidance related to quality, testing, and product performance
