Pay Rate: $20/hour
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday, 7:30-3:30
Assignment Duration: ~2-3 months starting ASAP

Overview

We’re immediately hiring a Temporary Receptionist to provide front desk and classroom support for our client in Jamaica Plain. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, community-focused childcare environment and can step in with flexibility and professionalism.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to pass CORI and DCF background checks 
  • Willingness to complete fingerprinting prior to or at the start of employment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy childcare environment
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email and data entry
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a collaborative mindset
  • Comfort interacting with children, families, and educators

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for families, visitors, and vendors
  • Manage front desk operations, including greeting guests, answering phones, and directing inquiries
  • Monitor sign-in/sign-out procedures 
  • Assist with coverage during staff breaks and provide in-class support as needed
  • Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and leadership throughout the day
  • Support daily operations to maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment
