We are recruiting a full-time Business Development Manager, and the hybrid role comes with an attractive salary of $140K-$170K and a benefits package. This position can be based in Boston, MA, or San Diego, CA.
The Business Development Manager will serve as the primary business development and marketing lead for the firm’s cross-border Patent Prosecution practice. You will promote brand visibility and new business opportunities for the practice and its top revenue generators.
If you were already in this IP Prosecution Business Development Manager role, you could expect to:
- Work with assigned practices and attorneys to expand existing client relationships and develop new client relationships
- Closely monitor industry trends and use these developments to identify and implement go-to-market strategies
- Work with individual partners in the practice to craft their business plans and assist them throughout the year to achieve success on these goals
- Manage the selling process and work closely with partners to initiate and follow up on sales leads, prospective client meetings, and sales preparation and follow-up
We are looking for a Business Development Manager with an outstanding client service mentality and 7+ years of experience in a law firm or professional services organization. You will also require:
- Ability to work in a busy environment with competing time-sensitive deadlines
- The ability to partner with attorneys and develop consultative role/advisory relationships, including the ability to influence
- Analytical abilities when it comes to studying industry and market trends, data analytics, and client financials
- Experience in intellectual property preferred
