JOHNLEONARD is looking for a collaborative Legal Administrative Assistant to join our client’s welcoming and inclusive team in Boston, and the hybrid role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. This full-time role offers a favorable salary of $86K-$113K and many excellent benefits for your dedication.
As a Legal Assistant, you will actively assist assigned lawyers and, when necessary, assist other lawyers and secretaries. You will familiarize yourself with firm procedures, from how files are organized to the billing procedures.
To give you an idea of how this administrative role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:
- Assist and support lawyers in dedicated assignments as well as associates assigned to practice support team(s)
- Read, research, and route email correspondence
- Liaise with various support departments of the firm
- Maintain assignments, calendars, and plan and schedule meetings, conferences, teleconferences, video conferences, and travel
- Analyze, allocate, process, and monitor complex expense reports
To apply, you will need a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least 4 years of related experience or training. The Legal Administrative Assistant will also require proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). In addition, you should have proficiency in basic knowledge of legal terminology, formatting of legal documents, and systems and procedures (such as court procedures and closings).
