About the Opportunity
A respected Massachusetts-based law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys in a collaborative Elder Law practice. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and plays a key role in ensuring seamless law office operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant or in a similar legal support role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with document management systems and legal billing software preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Professional, adaptable, and client-focused mindset
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda with a high level of accuracy
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical legal files, including archiving and file closing
- Process legal billing, invoices, and attorney timesheets
- Open new case files and conduct conflict checks
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Serve as a primary point of contact for the office and coordinate across locations
- Greet clients and support client intake and meeting preparation
- Maintain strict confidentiality of attorney-client privileged information
- Provide administrative support for family court and elder law matters
