Job Overview
Our client, a leading firm in the legal services industry, is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant – Floater to provide high-quality administrative support to attorneys and professional staff. This position requires full-time, in-office presence to ensure seamless coverage across departments and exceptional service to internal and external clients. Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant legal administrative experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, or Administrative Professional in a law firm or similar setting.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with legal billing systems preferred. - Demonstrated ability to proofread and edit documents for grammar, spelling, and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and staff, including backup coverage for legal assistants, reception, or other team members.
- Prepare and edit legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, and reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain and organize files—both electronic and physical—ensuring information is accurate and easily accessible.
- Manage scheduling and coordination of meetings, appointments, and conference calls.
- Process billing and timesheets, including proofreading, reviewing, and editing invoices.
- Handle mail and document preparation, including photocopying, scanning, and assembling materials.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information at all times.
- Perform additional administrative and organizational tasks as needed to ensure effective client service.
