JOHNLEONARD is helping a top medical malpractice and personal injury law firm find an experienced Nurse Attorney to join their welcoming team. This full-time Nurse Attorney role is based in Boston and offers an attractive salary of $90K-$130K and benefits package.

As a Nurse Attorney, you will identify, collect, organize, and analyze medical records. You must be able to understand and articulate medical/legal theories of liability and understand the medical facts of a case and how they relate to the case or claim. Please note that you must be admitted to practice law in MA.

To give you an idea of how this Nurse Attorney role will look and feel, here are some areas you can expect to work in:

  • Draft medical summaries and build chronologies
  • Articulate the medical facts of a case and how they relate to the case or claim
  • Identify relevant and qualified medical experts and communicate with medical experts
  • Conduct comprehensive background research pertaining to experts and fact witnesses; summarize findings of the same

To apply, you will need 3-5 years of medical malpractice experience and proficiency in drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing medical records to determine the merits of a case/claim. You will also require:

  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work well and keep up in a busy environment
  • Medical background and/or prior experience in reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing medical records is desired
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe
