Position Overview
A growing life sciences organization is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Temporary HR Coordinator to support key human resources operations. This role offers hands-on experience across payroll processing, benefits administration, HR compliance, and employee relations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, discreet, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in human resources or HR administration
- Working knowledge of payroll systems and benefits administration
- Familiarity with HR compliance, including I-9, HIPAA, and state labor laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Support bi-weekly payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now, including collecting and reviewing timekeeping data
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and direct deposit
- Assist with benefits administration (health, dental, vision, 401(k)), including enrollments, updates, and terminations
- Coordinate with benefits brokers and insurance carriers to resolve issues and confirm coverage
- Track and reconcile benefit invoices for approval
- Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with OSHA, EEO, and Massachusetts labor laws
- Assist with I-9 verification, documentation, and compliance reporting
- Support HR audits and ensure documentation is consistently audit-ready
- Serve as a point of contact for general HR inquiries, escalating complex matters as needed
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal events
- Support offboarding processes, including exit documentation and final payroll coordination
