Location: Boston Metro, MA | Hybrid – 1 remote day/week
Pay Range: Temporary $30/hour | Direct Hire $80K-$90K
Schedule: Full-time, 35-hour work week | Monday-Friday

Job Overview

A respected Boston-area law firm is seeking an experienced T-DH Trusts & Estates Legal Assistant to support a busy and collaborative private client practice. This hybrid opportunity offers a 35-hour work week, strong long-term growth potential, and the chance to join a supportive legal team focused on high-quality client service.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional with experience in estate planning, probate administration, and trust administration who thrives in a fast-paced law firm environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm environment preferred
  • Prior experience in Trusts & Estates, estate planning, probate, or trust administration strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience using Document Management Systems such as NetDocuments/NetDocs and working with PDFs
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Comfortable adapting to evolving workflows and legal technology

Responsibilities

  • Manage attorney calendars, including client consultations, estate plan signings, and probate deadlines
  • Coordinate meetings and maintain scheduling priorities
  • Track important legal and administrative deadlines
  • Open, organize, and maintain electronic and physical client files
  • Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and forms with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Assist with estate planning documents, probate filings, and trust administration materials
  • Support estate plan execution, including document preparation and witnessing when needed
  • Scan, bind, and distribute executed plan documents to clients
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, advisors, and families
  • Prepare and submit expense reports
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, and client billing inquiries
  • Coordinate mail, courier services, and document distribution
  • Provide administrative cross-coverage and occasional front desk support as needed
