JOHNLEONARD has an immediate opening for a Temporary Litigation Legal Assistant to support two partners and one associate at a Massachusetts-based law firm in Newton. The role comes with a compelling hourly pay rate.
Some of your primary Litigation Legal Assistant responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Transcription
- Preparation of pleadings and discovery documents
- Court filings, including electronically
- Draft and proofread correspondence
- Schedule meetings and depositions, calendar management, phone support, mail distribution, and filing

- 2+ years of litigation experience and a good working knowledge of state and federal court procedures and electronic filing for Massachusetts and Rhode Island
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, practice management, and document management software
- Be well-organized and detail-oriented
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
