Women mean business (infographic)

Updated February 27, 2026

March is Women’s History Month, a time to recognize and honor the contributions women have made to society. It is also an opportunity to reflect on the ongoing struggle for gender equality in the workplace and beyond.  Even with progress in recent years, significant gender disparities persist in the U.S. labor force. Women continue to face barriers in the workplace – unequal pay, disparity in promotions, incidents of sexual harassment, and racism. For example, working women in the United States earn just 81 cents for every dollar earned by men, and the pay gap is even wider for women of color.

Despite gender inequality in the workplace, women across all sectors and at all levels are overcoming challenges every day and are making history while doing it. As we celebrate Women’s History Month, let us recognize the ongoing work to create a more equitable and inclusive society for all women.
